The all-time roster pages have been fully updated and
work is
expected to
begin on the
UFFL record
book within
the next
month.
July
1, 2018
Most
portions of
the website
have been
updated over
the past 10
days, with the
exception of
the UFFL
record book
and the
all-time
roster pages.
Work on these
areas is
expected to
last several
weeks.
November
10, 2017
For
a period
lasting
approximately
three months,
the Ultimate
Fantasy
Football
League website
was unable to
be updated due
to computer
problems
(which have
since been
resolved). The
main priority
for right now
will be on
updating
rosters,
standings and
transactions,
along with the
posting of
occasional
news articles
to keep the
main page
looking fresh.
The all-time
roster pages
have been
updated
through the
end of the
2016 season
but the record
book is
unlikely to be
updated before
the end of the
2017 regular
season.
September
4, 2016
A new Parachat chat room has been
added to the
Ultimate
Fantasy
Football
League
website,
allowing
owners to
discuss league
matters (as
well as
off-topic
issues) in
large groups
24 hours a
day, seven
days a week.
Moderated
chats may be
held on an
occasional
basis here
throughout the
year, although
no official
schedule has
been created
yet.
August 5, 2016
Updating a previous post,
the website's
all-time
roster pages
and record
book section
have been
completely
updated.
July 19, 2016
Over
the past few
weeks, many
areas of the
UFFL
historical
website have
been corrected
and upgraded
in time for
the 2016
season,
including
sections which
contained
erroneous
information
(such as
incorrect
final scores
from various
regular-season
and postseason
games). The
website's
all-time
roster pages
and record
book section
are currently
being worked
on and will be
fully updated
in time for
the UFFL
draft.
December 25, 2013
All
direct links
leading to the
KFFL.com fantasy
sports website
have been
temporarily
disabled because
of a malware issue
that could have
also put this
site's existence
into jeopardy,
like several of
its UFFL
historical website
predecessors.
Fortunately, the
issue was detected
early enough that
the site wasn't
completely erased.
Malware (malicious
software) refers
to links or
website pages that
have been
identified as
carriers of
viruses, spyware,
identity theft
scams, etc. -
often without the
knowledge of the
person who owns
the site. As a
result of
purchasing the
SiteLock security
program for this
website several
months ago, the
problematic areas
were targeted and
removed with
relative ease ...
and this explains
why the home page
now carries a SiteLock badge in the lower left
corner. It gives
visitors peace
of mind that
they can view http://www.ultimatefantasyfootballleague.net
without fear of
their computer
being infected.
When and if this
issue gets
rectified with
KFFL, I will be
consider
reactivating the
links.
In other
news, the
website's
all-time roster
pages - which
list all of the
players who have
ever suited up
for each of the
league's 14
franchises -
will be updated
during the
spring or
summer, along
with the league
record book.
September
6, 2013
The following is a
week-to-week breakdown
of when various portions
of this website will be
updated during the 2013
season:
TUESDAYS -
Schedule/results page,
survival pool
standings and NFL
pickem rankings
WEDNESDAYS -
UFFL Horse Trailer
page, Fleaflicker
power rankings and
league standings
THURSDAYS - Franchise
pages (Northern
Division)
FRIDAYS - Franchise
pages (Southern
Division)
SATURDAYS - News
articles recapping
recent league events
(as deemed necessary)
SUNDAYS - Site map and
internal search engine
There is no guarantee
that owner pages will be
updated on a weekly
basis during the regular
season, due to a reduced
amount of spare time
which would normally be
used to update the
website. The
transactions page will
be maintained on a daily
basis. Franchise pages
may also be updated more
than once a week, as
needed, to reflect
roster changes. The
franchise records and
coaching records pages
will not be updated
until the offseason.
June
3,
2013
On May 22, the web
host Boxhost.me
deleted the Ultimate
Fantasy Football
League historical
website (which you
are reading right
now), claiming that
its removal was due
to a malicious
script and/or
software that had
been uploaded to
their servers. It is
unknown who hacked
into the site but
nothing new had been
added by the
webmaster in the
weeks immediately
before its
disappearance. The
restoration process
for the UFFL site
began shortly
thereafter, with
hosting moving over
to Angelfire.com,
along with the
purchase of a
brand-new,
easy-to-remember
domain name - http://www.ultimatefantasyfootballleague.net.
In addition, a
security program was
purchased to deter
hackers from
attempting to
destroy the site.
As a result of this,
along with another
development (more on
that later), some of
the features that
were set to be
rolled out on the
website during the
early summer days
may not appear until
August. This is
because I was
recently offered a
summer job which
would potentially
take up the end of
June and almost the
entire month of
July. I have not
officially accepted
the offer, but if I
do, assistant
commissioner Mozelle
Meyers will step in
to handle league
matters, as my
ability to check the
computer regularly
would be spotty at
best. That being
said, the draft date
will not change;
however, the date
when franchise
player lists and
league
questionnnaires
should be submitted
could be altered.
February
18, 2013
Here is a list of
features that are
scheduled to be added to
the Ultimate Fantasy
Football League's
historical website over
the next few weeks or
months, time permitting:
1. All-time roster pages
for each of the league's
14 franchises
2. A comprehensive draft
information page
detailing every draft
from 2002 to the present
3. Extra statistical
categories for franchise
and owner pages (such as
"points allowed per
season")
The 2002 transactions
page has been added to
this site, after Yahoo!
Fantasy Sports recently
published a list of
transactions that took
place during the season
(which led to the idea
here of creating
all-time roster pages
for each franchise as
well). However, the
exact dates when these
transactions occured is
still unknown; that
being said, it's better
than what was posted
previously - which was
nothing.
Several other pages
throughout the site are
undergoing minor
cosmetic changes as
well. The league record
book will be updated
during the summer of
2013.
August
23, 2012
The following is a
week-to-week breakdown of
when various portions of
this website will be updated
during the 2012 season:
TUESDAYS -
Schedule/results page,
survival pool standings,
Fleaflicker power rankings
and NFL pickem rankings
WEDNESDAYS -
Franchise pages (Northern
Division) and league
standings
THURSDAYS - Franchise
pages (Southern Division)
FRIDAYS - News articles
recapping recent league
events (as deemed
necessary)
SATURDAYS - Site map and
internal search engine
There is no guarantee that
owner pages will be updated
on a weekly basis during the
regular season, due to a
reduced amount of spare time
which would normally be used
to update the website. The
transactions page will be
maintained on a daily basis.
Franchise pages may also be
updated more than once a
week, as needed, to reflect
roster changes. The
franchise records and
coaching records pages will
not be updated until the
offseason.
July 7, 2012
The rebuilding of the Ultimate Fantasy Football League's
historical
site has gone
better than
expected over
the last few
days. Having
dealt with a
similar
experience
before the
beginning of
the 2004
season, I took
the
precautionary
measure of
saving all of
my website's
pages to my
desktop
computer this
time around -
otherwise, I
would have had
to start from
scratch and it
would have
taken several
months (and a
lot of focus
and
determination)
to complete
the task.
Franchise and
owner
information
pages have
been uploaded,
along with
standings,
scoreboard,
playoff
results, draft
results and
transactions
pages from the
league's first
10 seasons.
Most of the
other pages
have also been
restored,
although some
of the images
(clip art and
photographs)
may be gone
forever
because they
were stored on
my old
computer,
which bit the
dust in March
2008. That
being said,
there is an
outside
possibility
that a few of
these images
exist on my
current
machine,
although they
may be hard to
find because
the files may
have been
saved under
different
names.
News archives
from 2006 to
the present
day will be
made available
again shortly,
although the
links in those
stories will
be disabled
because many
of them no
longer worked.
Most of the
non-functioning
links led to
teams that
have been
renamed many
times over
(and every
time a UFFL
franchise name
is changed,
the page name
also changed).
Also, there
were so many
items linked
to in the news
archives that
it would have
been more
trouble than
it's worth to
check through
each and every
one of them to
insure they
worked
properly.
After the
process of
uploading the
rest of the
site is
complete, some
very minor
cosmetic
changes may be
in store
(which I had
considered
anyway before
the old site
disappeared).
Things should
be back to
normal by
mid-July, if
not sooner.
July 3, 2012
After more than seven years of being hosted at CJB.net, the Ultimate Fantasy Football
League's
historical
website was
taken offline
for reasons
unknown.
Fortunately,
virtually all
of the files
which appeared
on that site
have been
preserved and
will be
transferred to
their current
home at Boxhost.me over the next few weeks. For
the time
being, there
will be a
number of
missing
documents or
inactive links
scattered
throughout the
site but they
will be fixed
in time for
the 2012 UFFL
season.
September

2011
The following is a week-to-week
breakdown of when various
portions of this website will be
updated during the 2011 season:
MONDAYS - Survival pool
standings
TUESDAYS - Schedule/results
page, league standings and NFL
pickem rankings
WEDNESDAYS - Franchise pages
THURSDAYS - Owner profiles
FRIDAYS - News articles
recapping recent league events
(weekly recaps of every UFFL
game will no longer take place
due to an increased workload
and reduced spare time)
SATURDAYS - Site map and
internal search engine
The transactions page will be
updated on a daily basis.
Franchise pages may also be
updated more than once a week,
as needed, to reflect roster
changes. The franchise records
and coaching records pages will
not be updated until the
offseason.

If you know a language other than English - or if you're
simply curious
to see how
this website
appears in a
foreign
language - the
Google website
translator can
transform the
UFFL Home Page
into more than
four dozen
different
languages!
Just follow
this link - http://translate.google.com/?sa=N&hl=en#
- and enter
the following
URL
(http://uffl.cjb.net)
to view the
site in
languages
ranging from
Afrikaans to
Yiddish.
January 19, 2010
Updating previous reports, the
league record
book has been
updated to
reflect
developments
from the 2009
season.
Several
previously
nonexistent
statistical
categories
have been
created, and
more may be
added
throughout the
offseason as
time allows.
In other news,
Fleaflicker
has added a
real-time NFL
scoreboard to
every fantasy
football
league page
(and they are
doing the same
with baseball,
basketball and
hockey
leagues). Box
scores are
expected to be
uploaded in
the immediate
future.
January 10, 2010
Updating a previous post, the
original and
final rosters
of all teams
from 2002 to
2009 have been
posted on the
website, along
with the final
scores from
all postseason
games in
league
history. In
addition, all
of the draft
order/draft
results pages
have been
combined, in
an effort to
cut down on
redundancy and
free up web
space.
In other news,
the internal
pop-up ads
(see the
12/15/09 post)
disappeared
several days
ago and
haven't
returned,
meaning that
the site is
now ad-free
again.
Ironically,
ever since
last month,
I've noticed
more and more
websites using
that type of
advertising -
the NFL
website and
the Sporting
News website
are two
examples that
immediately
come to mind.
Let's hope
they don't
return here.
Finally, I
plan on
updating the
UFFL record
book within
the next two
weeks, so that
all of the
current
statistical
categories
listed there
have
up-to-date
information. I
will make an
effort to make
several new
categories as
well, but if
it doesn't get
done by the
end of the
month, it will
get
accomplished
somewhere down
the line (but
well ahead of
next season).
December 27, 2009
For
years,
information for
the 2003 UFFL
season was
nearly
impossible to
obtain,
following the
dismantling of
the previous
league
historical
website by
another host,
combined with
Yahoo! servers
being partially
erased. However,
a recent trip to
the Yahoo!
fantasy football
archives
revealed that
not only was
most of the
information
originally
thought to be
gone forever
intact, but
there were
additional
features that
had never been
present in the
first place.
The 2003 draft
results are now
100% complete.
For a long
period of time,
no results at
all were
available, and
for several
years after
that, only
position players
were listed.
(For reasons
unknown,
whenever an
owner drafted a
defensive team
in 2003, the
Yahoo! database
simply said
"pick missing"
or some equally
disappointing
phrase.) In
addition, the
results to all
2003 regular
season games
have been posted
online.
Previously, you
could only see
the weekly
matchups without
any scores
posted.
Yahoo! has also
posted the
results from all
postseason games
from 2002 to
2007.
Previously, they
had just listed
the winners and
losers from each
round.
This information
is in the
process of being
incorporated
into the UFFL
historical
website, which
was scheduled to
undergo a slight
overhaul anyway
before the
discovery of the
2003 records (in
preparation for
the 2010
campaign).
Eventually,
these finds
could lead to
more statistical
categories in
the UFFL Record
Book or expanded
categories on
franchise pages
or team owner
profiles.
Finally, it
would be
possible to see
how well one
team has done
against another
in the history
of this league.
I have also
started
consolidating
the
original/final
rosters pages
from each
season, and have
done the same
with the draft
order/draft
results pages,
in order to cut
down on
redundancy and
make the site
more
aesthetically
pleasing.
December 15, 2009
Regular
viewers of the UFFL
historical website
may have noticed
over the last
several days that
there are now many
instances of double
underlined text
randomly scattered
throughout the site,
which lead directly
to internal pop-up
advertisements.
These advertisements
(which do not appear
to be removeable)
were developed by
AdBrite for CJB.net,
and are designed to
financially support
the host.
November
21, 2009
In an
attempt to eradicate the
website from problematic
widgets, the Bravenet
American football news
widget has been removed
due to the fact that it
is no longer being
updated with fresh
material. Fortunately,
the ESPN and NFL.com
widgets on the home page
should be more than
sufficient to satisfy
one's quest for
information, in addition
to the helpful fantasy
football links and
message board pages. Of
course, one link that
should be on everyone's
bookmarked list is
KFFL.com - not just for
fantasy football news,
but for a wide variety
of other sports as well,
such as baseball and
NASCAR.
November 6, 2009
After being
non-functional for several
days, the NFL.com and ESPN
pro football widgets which
normally appear on the UFFL
home page are back up and
running. It turns out that
the HTML code for both
widgets had been changed
recently, causing neither of
them to show up for a while.
August 16, 2009
In an effort to
make the Ultimate Fantasy
Football League website look
more professional, a new
banner has been unveiled
in time for the upcoming live
draft. The banner appears on
every page, including the home
page, marking the first time
since 2007 that such uniformity
has occured throughout the site.
Previously, this
had served as the primary
website banner since 2004
(undergoing minor changes in
2006), while this
banner appeared exclusively on
the home page throughout the
2008 season. When the 2008
banner became obsolete, this
took its place (again,
exclusively on the home page).
Assistant commissioner Mozelle
Meyers selected the winning
banner from 11 entries, saying
that the final choice was a
tough decision. All of the
entries for the competition can
be seen in the photos section of
the league's message board on
Yahoo! Groups.
August 4, 2009
Several
links on the 2009 season page have
been activated and updated within
the last 24 hours. In addition, a
page with a list of all trades in
UFFL history has been created (found
in the historical links area of the
website). After two deals were
completed during the offseason, some
owners became curious about how many
trades have happened since the
league started in 2002, and so this
page was designed with that in mind.
July 5, 2009
The
biggest physical changes to the website
over the last five months were made with
the addition of two expansion teams in
mind, bringing the total number of UFFL
franchises to 14. That being said, the
schedule for updating this website
during the 2009 NFL regular season is
expected to remain the same as last year
(see the 9/13/08 post below for more
details). With more pages to edit and
update each week, the process will
certainly be more time-consuming, but
not enough to result in a revised
schedule.
Between now and the live UFFL draft next
month, the two biggest undertakings for
this website will be the creation of a
UFFL Hall of Fame (designed to honor the
greatest fantasy football players in the
history of the UFFL) and improved owner
profiles with more background
information.
February
7,
2009
The FOX NFL
Gametrax scoreboard and CBS SportsLine headline
widgets which previously appeared on the home
page have been replaced, after both stopped
functioning properly. In its place are the
official NFL.com widget, along with pro football
headlines sampled from ESPN.com.
December 30, 2008
It is important to
remember that what looks good on a 24" monitor
(which is what I am using right now) may not look
as good on a regular-sized computer screen or a
laptop, so portions of the home page have been
adjusted to fit properly.
As of right now,
all areas of the website are up to date, including
- but not limited to - league records, standings,
transactions, and owner and team profiles. I may
consider adding pages for the Northern and
Southern Divisions in the future, and may
experiment with different widgets (computer
programs that provide NFL scores and news on this
website, such as the FOX Sports scoreboard and the
CBS Sports football headlines widgets on the home
page).
November
3, 2008
The biggest recent
change has been to
modernize and simplify
the look of the home
page. I eliminated many
redundant links and
reduced the amount of
information located on
the index page, in order
to accelerate the amount
of time it takes for the
website to load on many
computers. My goal was
also to make the home
page more colorful and
eye-appealing, and
hopefully I have
achieved that goal.
Additionally, I have
consolidated several
smaller, lightly-used
pages throughout the
website. Rest assured,
no information that was
previously available on
the website has been
deleted - it has simply
been organized in a more
user-friendly fashion.
Also, several errors on
the franchise records
and coaching records
pages, as well as the
owner pages and
franchise pages, have
been corrected.
The errors stemmed from miscalculations regarding the
won-lost records of teams that made the playoffs during the
2004 UFFL season.
September 30, 2008
The Ultimate Fantasy Football
League's home page will continue
to be found at http://uffl.cjb.net
through October 10, 2009, after
I opted to renew the one-year
contract with CJB.net.
The deal also ensures that the
website will remain free of
advertising.
September 13, 2008
As was the case during the 2007
football season, some features of
this website will be updated more
regularly than others during the
2008 campaign. The following
features of this website will be
updated weekly, according to the
schedule listed below:
TUESDAYS - Schedule/results page,
league standings, survival pool
standings and NFL pickem rankings
WEDNESDAYS - Franchise pages
THURSDAYS - Owner profiles
SATURDAYS - Site map and internal
search engine
The transactions page will be
updated on a daily basis. Franchise
pages may also be updated more than
once a week, as needed, to reflect
roster changes.
August 16, 2008
As a result of the recent UFFL draft,
numerous pages throughout the website have
been created or updated, including the 2008
Draft Results page and the 2008 Original
Rosters page.
Team pages have been updated to reflect the current rosters,
and the news page has been revamped to include current news
as well as archives.
Prior to the draft, pages had been added to the website for
each individual season, and more pictures and graphics had
been posted throughout the website.
October 16, 2007
The look of the league history page has been
updated, with minor changes having been made to the
summaries of each season. Also, several
non-functional links throughout the website have
been corrected.
September 22, 2007
Two new features have been added to the home page. The first
is a syndicated NFL news feed from CBS Sports, and the
second is the Fox Sports NFL GameTrax, which will keep
readers up-to-date on game leaders and scores. Game previews
focus on passing, rushing and receiving leaders for each
team. Clicking the game tab during a live game will allow
you the game in real-time.
September 12, 2007
During the 2007 football season, some features of this
website will be updated more regularly than others.
The transactions page will be updated
semi-weekly. However, the
following features of this website will be updated on a
weekly basis, according to the schedule listed below:
MONDAYS - Site map and internal search engine
TUESDAYS - Franchise pages, owner profiles,
schedule/results page and league standings
THURSDAYS - Weekly matchup previews and reviews of the
previous week's action
The league records page will not be updated until the end of
the 2007 UFFL season.
