Andrew So |
Profile Andrew joined the UFFL during its second season in the middle of the 2003 draft, replacing Kenny Ortiz. As owner of the league's westernmost franchise, So led The Outsiders (formerly the Mad Dawgs) to an 8-5 record in his rookie year as head coach, despite having lost franchise quarterback Michael Vick to injury for most of the season. In his second season, he led The Catch - relocated to New York from California - to the best regular-season record in the league (tied with Bobby Boucher, coached by Jim Douglas). The next six seasons also led to berths in the championship bracket, and his career regular season winning percentage is the highest in league history among participants who have coached at least 80 games. Andrew won his first UFFL championship in 2010, with a victory over The Steel Curtain in UFFL Bowl IX, and also served as the head coach of the Northern Division in the UFFL Pro Bowl following the 2011, 2014 and 2016 campaigns. He decided to leave the league on amicable terms August 30, 2017, citing a desire to spend less time dealing with fantasy sports. He was replaced in the UFFL by Zach Greubel, who renamed the franchise Saved by the Bell. Andrew is an avid San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, San Jose Sharks and San Francisco Giants fan and coaches a youth soccer team in the Bronx. He attended Bank Street College in New York City for graduate school, after spending his undergraduate years at Stanford University. Highest Fantasy Score: 189.25 vs. Pulverizers (Week 7, 2010 Season) Lowest Fantasy Score: 60.38 vs. A-Peterson Fan Club (Week 14, 2009 Season) |
